The Round Rock Express topped the Reno Aces, 4-2, in Pacific Coast League action at Blues Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Round Rock pitcher John Thompson. The winner was Thompson. He threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Grim Sleva. The second-place Aces dropped to 22-10.

Round Rock took a 3-0 lead on Ethan Bryan's 4th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Bryan hit in the top of the seventh, left Reno pitcher Samuel Allen visibly frustrated.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Bryan told the Round Rock Bulletin. "But we take nothing for granted."
