Sounds Get Past Oklahoma City, 3-2
|
Despite a great performance by Oklahoma City first baseman Mattis Buck, the Nashville Sounds defeated the Wranglers by the score of 3-2 at First Tennessee Park. Buck went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. Kirby Ruelas was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Dave Porcello. The Sounds improved to 17-14.
In the bottom of the ninth, Jesse Bolling knew he could end it with one good swing of the bat. And he did, hitting a run-scoring single off Oklahoma City pitcher Dave Porcello.
Oklahoma City manager Connor Baine said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
