The Inland Empire 66ers beat the Nashville Sounds, 4-3. Inland Empire pitcher and Camas, Washington, native Gavin Cole led the way. Inland Empire's record now stands at 16-13, placing them 4th in the Pacific Coast League Pacific Division.

Inland Empire used the bat of Ray Fernández to get the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the 66ers ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Nashville manager Darius Hogan. "But we decided not to take it."
