The Reno Aces topped the Honolulu ThunderSharks, 8-2, in Pacific Coast League action at Smith's Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Reno left fielder Randy Najera. Victor Hayden, the winning pitcher, improved to 2-3. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 3 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 4. The 8th-place Aces improved to 11-21.

Wilfredo Tiburcio, the 26-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Tiburcio contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Reno up, 4-2.

"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Tiburcio.
