Sidewinders Lose, 12-7, as Storm Chasers Rally
The Omaha Storm Chasers defeated the Tucson Sidewinders, 12-7. First Baseman Damian Watkins deserved a large share of the credit. Watkins was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Storm Chasers. Their 15-20 record puts the Storm Chasers 7th in the Pacific Coast League American Divison.

Omaha used the timely hitting of Kenyu Kashiwabara to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Storm Chasers on top, 8-7. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Kashiwabara.
