Goldeyes Fall to .500 After 7-0 Loss to Rainiers
|
Tacoma Rainiers starter Stewie Asher kept the Winnipeg Goldeyes hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 7-0 win. The triumph puts Tacoma at 21-13 for the season.
The Rainiers got a big at-bat from first baseman Tony Goerner. For the game, Goerner went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Tacoma a 2-0 lead.
"I executed the game plan," said Asher.
