ThunderSharks Get 10-6 Win Versus Sacramento
|
The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.
The Honolulu ThunderSharks stopped the Sacramento River Cats, 10-6, at Smith's Ballpark. The ThunderSharks got a big game from Alex Stumbo, who went 2-3 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Honolulu, now 18-22, holds down 8th place in the Pacific Coast League Pacific Division.
Honolulu took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, Maykel Cruz hit a run-scoring single to make it 5-4, ThunderSharks.
ThunderSharks manager Jerry Lizalde wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
