Goldeyes Win, 4-1, Extend Streak to 5 Games
|
Winnipeg starter Elijah Fulkerson pitched effectively against the Honolulu ThunderSharks at NBT Bank Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-1. Earning his 10th save for Winnipeg was Alan Johnson. Honolulu has now lost 4 consecutive games.
The Goldeyes got a big at-bat from designated hitter Kid Albright. For the game, Albright went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Winnipeg a 2-0 lead.
"It was a good effort all around," said Albright.
