Victory Over Goldeyes Takes Oklahoma City to 32-11
|
Oklahoma City Wranglers starter Júlio Hernández led his team to victory over the Winnipeg Goldeyes, 3-0. The right-hander was locked-in. Oklahoma City has now won 5 straight.
The Goldeyes had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Wranglers going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old first baseman Isaac Brown came to the plate. Brown hit a run-scoring double on a first pitch fastball from Winnipeg hurler Wally Byron. It was Brown's 7th double of the year.
"My job is to go out and execute," said Hernández.
