El Paso beat Honolulu on the strength of starter Mikey Randall's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. El Paso reliever Nathaniel Conder picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Javier Segura was saddled with the loss. At 28-16, the Chihuahuas find themselves in first place in the Pacific Coast League Pacific Division.

El Paso used the timely hitting of James Babilonia to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Chihuahuas on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Scoring runs is scoring runs," said El Paso skipper Kelly Ury. "It's important to have different ways to do it."
