Rainiers Need Extra Innings to Top Wranglers, 5-3
Fans who congregated at Wranglers Ballpark were treated to extra-inning drama.

The Tacoma Rainiers racked up a win at Wranglers Ballpark, bumping off the Oklahoma City Wranglers, 5-3. J. David Thomas, who started for Tacoma, pitched effectively for his team. The second-place Rainiers sport a record of 27-18.

Tacoma used the timely hitting of Stephen Holmes to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Rainiers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning never gets old," said Thomas.
