Tucson turned a fine outing from starter Matthew Vallée into a victory over the Victoria HarbourCats at Security Service Field. The final score was 3-2. The winning pitcher was Vallée, now 5-3. He tossed 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 5. Evaristo Delfieno was called on to finish, recording his 5th save.
Carson Bond, who is tied for 5th in the PCL in hits with 56, had a direct impact on the outcome. Bond contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Tucson up, 3-1.
"Every loss stings," said Victoria manager Alejandro Travieso. "This one is no exception."
At 25-23, the Sidewinders claim 6th place in the Pacific Coast League Pacific Division.
