Pizer Powers Aces to 6-3 Win
|
The Reno Aces knocked off the Evansville Triplets, 6-3, at Blues Stadium. Bray Pizer was a big reason Reno won. The first baseman was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was Ryder Harris. He tossed 96 pitches over 5.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits. Picking up the save was Jonah Ballesteros, his 1st.
With Reno trailing 3-1 in the bottom of the third, Pizer hit a changeup from Jim Hemstreet for a bases-clearing double. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Aces ahead, 4-3.
"Things didn't bounce our way," said Evansville skipper Ryan McMullen.
The victory gives the Aces a record of 26-21.
