River Cats Beat Storm Chasers, 4-0
|
Sacramento River Cats starter Dante Mann pitched a strong game against the Omaha Storm Chasers at Werner Park, leading the River Cats to victory, 4-0. Mann, now 3-2, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing no runs. Ross Sperber earned the save for Sacramento, his 1st of the year.
Sacramento relied on the bat of Ryan Silva to get the win. The center fielder ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the River Cats ahead, 1-0. For the game, Silva had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"Come up with some new questions," snapped losing manager Angel Romo to reporters, "and I'll come up with some new answers."
The loss makes Omaha 12-34.
