Rainiers Defeat Storm Chasers, 8-1
The Tacoma Rainiers topped the Omaha Storm Chasers, 8-1, in Pacific Coast League action at Cheney Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Tacoma pitcher and San Francisco de Macorís, Dominican Republic, native Olo Salgado. Tacoma is now 31-19.

The Rainiers got a big at-bat from first baseman Orion Van Court. For the game, Van Court went 1 for 4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Tacoma a 2-0 lead.

"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Angel Romo.
