HarbourCats Top Goldeyes, 9-3
|
The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Victoria fans at Security Service Field.
The Victoria HarbourCats picked up a win at Security Service Field, knocking off the Winnipeg Goldeyes, 9-3. On the mound for Victoria was right-hander Peyton Wilson, who played a pivotal role in the win. Victoria, at 28-27, sits in 4th place in the Pacific Coast League Pacific Division.
Crescencio García contributed to the Victoria win with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 runs batted in.
García told the Victoria News: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
