The Evansville Triplets did just enough to secure a victory over the Tacoma Rainiers, 4-3, in 16 innings at Cheney Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Richard Neal. The Rainiers have now dropped 5 straight.

Erik Yaros came through with a big-time hit for Evansville. The first baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the 16th inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"When Richard is on, he can really move the ball around," said Evansville manager Tony Newcastle.
