Remington Lockard, who leads the PCL with a 0.90 WHIP, never let the Aces get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his sinker, to pitch the Express to a win, 4-1. Lockard yielded 1 run over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 0, and struck out 3. His record improves to 3-5. Round Rock goes to 25-30, Reno to 31-24.

Round Rock needed the clutch hitting of Ken Crawford to seal the deal. The left fielder swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Express on top, 3-1. For the game, Crawford had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
