The Inland Empire 66ers and Sacramento River Cats played an exciting game.

The Inland Empire 66ers got a strong performance from pitcher Mason Napier, who stymied the Sacramento offense en route to a win, 3-2, at River Cats Ballpark. Damaso Rendon snagged the win in relief. In 1.1 innings, the right-hander allowed no runs on no hits. He's now 1-2 on the season. The save was credited to Nick Thompson, his 12th.

Matt Weber provided a timely hit. The Inland Empire left fielder delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the 66ers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"This was a tough loss," said Sacramento manager Justin Lake. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."

Inland Empire is now 27-27, while Sacramento is 25-29.
