Triplets Rally to Win
|
The Evansville Triplets faced a tough opponent in Oklahoma City pitcher Maurício Bazan, but did just enough to pull out the victory at BB&T Stadium by a final score of 2-1 in 11 innings. Bazan went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. The Triplets raised their record to 38-20.
The Triplets got a clutch hit from center fielder Emanuel Veniard. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Triplets.
"It's what good teams do, find a way to win," said Veniard.
