The Nashville Sounds stopped the Evansville Triplets, 6-5, at First Tennessee Park. The Sounds got a big game from Amistad Berrios, who went 2-2 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Nashville reliever Aitor Veracruz picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Fabio Heimer absorbed the loss. With the win, Nashville goes to 32-27, while the Triplets fall to 25-34.
Donato Dobbins was the walk-off hero for Nashville. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Sounds second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said Dobbins after the game.
