Sacramento registered a win at Blues Stadium by beating the Reno Aces, 8-1. Pitcher Jenjie Wongkeala was one reason why the River Cats triumphed. Wongkeala, now 3-3, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing no runs. Sacramento, now 31-27, holds down third place in the Pacific Coast League Pacific Division.
Sacramento used the hitting of Santiago Ochoa to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the River Cats on top, 4-0. For the game, Ochoa had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Jenjie has got a slow heartbeat," said Sacramento manager Brandon Holmes. "He doesn't panic or anything."
