The Inland Empire 66ers beat the Tacoma Rainiers, 12-6, at Cheney Stadium. The win was due in part to first baseman Patrick Abshire, who was 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Inland Empire bumps their record to 31-27 with the win.

Abshire came through for Inland Empire with a grand slam home run in the top of the third. He hit a 1-1 sinker to left field, staking his team to a 6-2 lead.

"We came out aggressive," said 66ers manager Chris Kerr. "We came out swinging the bats."
