Aces Net 8-4 Win Over HarbourCats
|
The Reno Aces beat the Victoria HarbourCats, 8-4, at Security Service Field. The win was due in part to center fielder Victor Baptist, who went 4 for 5 with a triple and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Mancio Soto picked up the save for Reno, his 11th of the year. Reno has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
In the top of the seventh, Reno third baseman Donato Santana had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Santana stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 6-4, Reno. For the game, he was 2-5 with 2 singles.
"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager Steve Kapp.
