The Omaha Storm Chasers used a stellar performance from pitcher Jeremiah Black to throttle the El Paso offense en route to an extra-inning, 4-2 win at Southwest University park. Aitor Jaramillo snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Isaac Stewart suffered the loss. The Storm Chasers now own a record of 30-34.

Omaha shortstop Dale Fortune delivered a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th. Overall, he went 3 for 5, picking up 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and knocked in 2.
