Storm Chasers Lose, 4-2; No End to Nosedive
Albuquerque picked up a win at Isotopes Park, bumping off the Omaha Storm Chasers, 4-2. Pitcher Mick Griffis was a major reason the Isotopes emerged victorious. Carlos Osorio, now 5-2, was credited with the win. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit, while striking out 1 and walking 1. Logan Koenig picked up the save for Albuquerque, his 8th of the year.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Lou Harris came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Omaha pitcher Yuniesky Valenzuela, he hit a first pitch sinker for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Albuquerque on top, 3-2.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Omaha skipper Angel Romo, "and it cost us."

The Storm Chasers, at 17-50, have lost 7 in a row.
