Inland Empire Wins, 4-3, Over Wranglers
|
The Inland Empire 66ers snuck past the Oklahoma City Wranglers, 4-3, in 13 innings. Inland Empire pitcher Bronco Marques, in particular, had a standout performance. With the win, Inland Empire upped its record to 40-25.
Inland Empire used the timely hitting of Ramón Cabrini to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 13th inning to put the 66ers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"They were just a little bit better than us," Oklahoma City manager Connor Baine said.
