ThunderSharks Slap 6-3 Loss on Baby Cakes
|
The Honolulu ThunderSharks faced a tough opponent in New Orleans pitcher Brandon Regan, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Zephyr Field by a final score of 6-3. Regan went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Honolulu reliever Matthew Norway got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Brandon Regan was tagged with the loss. Jacob Jordan collected his 9th save.
It could have been a different outcome for Honolulu, had it not been for Ali Lima, the 24-year old right fielder . Lima contributed a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put Honolulu up, 6-0.
"Anytime we get it going, it puts a smile on my face," said Lima.
With the win, the ThunderSharks have a record of 35-33.
