Casillas, Storm Chasers Beat Sidewinders, 6-1
|
The Omaha Storm Chasers defeated the Tucson Sidewinders, 6-1. Doing his part was shortstop Pedro Casillas, who went 4 for 4 with 4 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Javier Barrios, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-1. He allowed 1 run on 5 hits in 5 innings. Omaha's record now stands at 30-42, placing them last in the Pacific Coast League American Divison.
Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at Werner Park seemed to enjoy watching the Pacific Coast League action.
Casillas told a Omaha Observer reporter that the win made him feel "upbeat about our team."
