Storm Chasers Knock Off Wranglers, 3-2
|
Not everyone stuck through the 30-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
The Oklahoma City Wranglers got a superb performance from pitcher Liam Mankiewicz, but the Omaha Storm Chasers still won the game, 3-2. Mankiewicz threw 6.1 innings allowing 2 runs. George Hehir, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings.
Omaha took a 3-2 lead on Michael Calloway's 1st triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which Calloway hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Oklahoma City pitcher Emerson Roumet shaking his head.
"I try to not think too much," said Calloway.
The 'W' lifts Omaha's record to 18-52.
