Storm Chasers Dealt 4-2 Home Loss
|
Nashville defeated Omaha, 4-2, in large part due to 25-year old first baseman Quinn Whitaker. Whitaker drove in 3 runs. The third baseman had 1 double and 1 home run for the Sounds. Nashville pitcher Vito Medina got the win, upping his record to 5-4. Zat Quinones got the loss. The 8th-place Sounds are 30-45.
Whitaker had a timely hit for Nashville in the top of the seventh. With Nashville trailing 2-1, he turned a 2-1 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season, making it 4-2, Nashville.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Nashville manager Ruben Almendarez.
