Rainiers Deal Chihuahuas 9-5 Defeat
The 9-5 Tacoma win over El Paso was due in large part to Orion Van Court. The Rainiers first baseman went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Harvey Allison in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Rod Keller took the loss. The Rainiers, at 47-28, sit in first place in the Pacific Coast League Pacific Division.

Van Court had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 sinker from Rod Keller, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Rainiers a 7-4 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Van Court.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Van Court told the Tacoma Observer.
