Sounds Suffer 5-2 Setback
|
The Tucson Sidewinders got a strong performance from pitcher Louis White, who stymied the Nashville offense en route to a win, 5-2, at Greater Nevada Field. Ivory Peressini finished to wrap up his 6th save. Tucson is now 39-35.
Claud Smith, the Tucson shortstop, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 2-0, Sidewinders. For the game, Smith was 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI.
"Feels good to get the job done," Smith said after the game.
