Big Day by Sheppard Ignites Goldeyes Win
The Winnipeg Goldeyes trumped the Reno Aces, 10-7, at Blues Stadium. Winnipeg designated hitter Tom Sheppard was terrific. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. The win gives Winnipeg a season record of 42-35.

In the top of the sixth, the Goldeyes grabbed the lead when Sheppard hit his 23rd home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Netuno Hernandez made it 10-7, Winnipeg.

Sheppard said afterward that "winning is the goal."
