Tight Tilt Goes to Edge, 3-2
|
The Edmonton Edge eked out a 3-2 win versus the Sacramento River Cats at River Cats Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Laurencio Hedgspeth. He was terrific. Israel Heinrichs earned the save for Edmonton, his 8th of the year. The Edge raised their record to 28-51.
Victor Scazzola helped out the Edmonton cause in the top of the fifth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the right fielder went 1-3 with a walk.
"Laurencio never lets off the gas," said Edmonton manager Aarón Lomeli. "Good, bad, or ugly, he never gives in."
