The Evansville Triplets scored a tight, 3-2 win versus the Reno Aces at BB&T Stadium. Evansville pitcher Payton Bush held his own in the contest. Morton Rose, now 3-1, was credited with the win in 0.2 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 0 and walking 0. Jeff DeVore got credit for the save for Evansville. It was his 16th of the year.

Had Zachariah Holley not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Holley hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Triplets.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Reno manager Ross Winfrey. "The effort was great."

The Triplets raised their record to 47-33.
