ThunderSharks Handled by Oklahoma City, 4-3
|
Honolulu got a terrific game from right fielder Miguel Ángel Limon. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Oklahoma City, 4-3. Limon went 3-3 with 2 doubles and a walk. Oklahoma City has a record of 37-44, placing them 6th in the Pacific Coast League American Divison.
The Wranglers got a big at-bat from right fielder Victorino Jasso. For the game, Jasso was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Oklahoma City a 4-2 lead.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Honolulu manager Jimmy Anderson.
