|
The Nashville Sounds overcame a pretty good performance by Albuquerque shortstop Julio Smith, beating the Isotopes, 4-3, at Isotopes Park. Smith went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. Ted Ballejos earned the win to go to 6-6. He allowed 3 runs on 9 hits, with 4 walks and 3 strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work. Samuel Heck got the save, the 2nd for him this season.
David Fulcher had a direct impact on the outcome. Fulcher contributed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Nashville up, 4-0.
"We came in and did what we needed to do," said Nashville manager Landon Murray.
The win makes Nashville 40-42.
