66ers Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
|
Inland Empire turned a good effort from starter Gavin Cole into a win over the Omaha Storm Chasers at Werner Park. The final score was 4-2. Earning his 20th save for Inland Empire was Nick Thompson. Inland Empire has now reeled off 8 straight wins.
Inland Empire used a clutch hit from Jake Nathan to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the 66ers ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"It's great to be on a roll," said Cole.
