|
John Puron was locked in. The right-hander led the Omaha Storm Chasers to a 5-3 win against the El Paso Chihuahuas at Southwest University park. The 7th-place Storm Chasers have won 4 straight games.
The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Milton Peter came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing El Paso pitcher Daniel Hershey, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Omaha on top, 4-3.
"We came in and did what we needed to do," said Omaha manager Tiernan Hayes.
