Tucson right fielder Jesse Bolling was sensational. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Evansville beat the Sidewinders, 6-5. Merv Ledlow got credit for the win, improving to 8-3. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in 5.1 innings. Aiden Salazar nailed down his 9th save.

With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Woody Steveson had a game-changing hit. The Triplets third baseman slammed a 2-run single off J.R. House, making the score 6-2, Evansville.

"When you win, you always have confidence," said Evansville skipper Tony Newcastle. "Nobody likes to lose. Losing is a downer. That's how we look at it. It's always good to win."

With the victory, the Triplets record stands at 53-33.
