|
El Paso rode a fine outing from starter Blaise Wilson to victory over the Iowa Cubs at Principal Park. The final score was 3-0. Damen Page was credited with the save for El Paso, his 3rd of the season. The Chihuahuas raised their record to 48-39.
El Paso used a well-timed hit by Dan Aronson to capture the win. The second baseman socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the first inning to put the Chihuahuas ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We had a good game plan," Wilson said, "and we were able to execute it."
