The Victoria HarbourCats faced a tenacious opponent in El Paso pitcher Skyler Perret, but still scratched out a win at Southwest University park by a final score of 5-3 in 10 innings. Perret went 7.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Tyler Thurston earned the save for Victoria, his 5th of the year. The defeat makes El Paso 36-49.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Ryder Carrillo came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing El Paso pitcher Bobby Schultz, he hit a first pitch sinker for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Victoria on top, 4-2.

"I just trusted my stuff," said Carrillo.
