Nashville Beaten, 3-1, by Omaha
|
The outcome was not decided until the very end at Werner Park.
Omaha pitcher Willie Beaulieu did his part in helping his team defeat the Nashville Sounds, 3-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The 6th-place Storm Chasers improved to 40-47.
Omaha got a knockout punch from Goachino Borboa. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"Willie pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Omaha manager Dustin Berke.
