7-3 Loss Extends New Orleans Losing Streak
|
Albuquerque right fielder Michelangelo White contributed significantly to his team's 7-3 win over the New Orleans Baby Cakes. White went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Isotopes. The winning pitcher was Pablo Cantu. He's now 3-0. He went 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits for the Isotopes. Albuquerque sits in third place in the Pacific Coast League Pacific Division at 48-46.
The Isotopes got a big at-bat from shortstop Juan Brunell. For the game, Brunell went 2-4 with a home run and a triple, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing triple. His 3rd triple of the season gave Albuquerque a 5-2 lead.
"Losing feels worse," said New Orleans manager Bobby Gomez, "than winning feels good."
