The Omaha Storm Chasers took it on the chin, losing, 10-1, to the Tacoma Rainiers. Jeremiah Rector, who is tied for 7th in the PCL in strikeouts with 83, pitched a strong game for Tacoma. The winning pitcher was Rector, now 7-4. He tossed 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 7. The last-place Storm Chasers now sit at 36-58.

The Rainiers got a big boost from designated hitter Jeremy Alexander who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first inning off Storm Chasers hurler Zat Quinones. It was his 27th walk of the season and put Tacoma on top, 2-1.

"Not much to say," Omaha manager Heath Chastain said, when asked afterward about the defeat.
