Express Rally to Nose Past Inland Empire
|
The Round Rock Express in 14 innings downed the Inland Empire 66ers, 10-9, at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Carson Snow led the way, going 5-for-7 for Round Rock. The winner was Easton Fulkerson in relief. His record improves to 2-6. Daniel Leone took the loss. The 4th-place 66ers now sit at 51-42.
The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Scotty Morris came to bat in the top of the 14th. Facing Inland Empire pitcher Daniel Leone, he hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Round Rock on top, 10-9.
In postgame remarks, Snow said: "I'm proud of our guys, of their fight."
