Sounds Need Extra Innings to Top Express, 3-2
|
The Nashville Sounds did just enough to secure a victory over the Round Rock Express, 3-2, at First Tennessee Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Danny Lennox. Nashville is now 54-39, while Round Rock is 53-40.
The Sounds procured the win, in large part because of first baseman Donato Dobbins. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"The team always comes first, so pulling out the win on a day like today is the most important thing," Lennox told a reporter while responding to autograph requests. "Our fans like to come out to see a win, so I'm happy to do what I can to give them that."
