Rainiers Slap 4-1 Loss on Honolulu
|
The Tacoma Rainiers locked up a win at Cheney Stadium, knocking off the Honolulu ThunderSharks, 4-1. On the mound for Tacoma was right-hander Bryson Castner. He played a major role in the triumph. Castner got the win, improving to 11-7. He gave up 7 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. Jesse Giove collected his 3rd save.
Cody Canter, who is tied for 2nd in the PCL in stolen bases with 25, contributed to the Tacoma win with a solo home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
"Bryson works, he fights, and he keeps a good attitude," said Rainiers manager Chris McCollum.
Tacoma is third in the Pacific Coast League Pacific Division with a record of 54-40.
