Bietz Goes Off, But Chihuahuas Win
The El Paso Chihuahuas had to overcome a big game from Omaha left fielder Noel Bietz to leave Werner Park with a victory. And they did, winning 7-5. Bietz went 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Damen Page picked up the save, his 6th. The Chihuahuas raised their record to 54-44.

El Paso used the clutch hitting of Bill Bentley to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Chihuahuas the lead, 6-5. For the game, Bentley had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Bentley.
