Isotopes Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Chihuahuas, 7-5
The El Paso Chihuahuas got a sterling performance from pitcher Skyler Perret, but the Albuquerque Isotopes still prevailed, 7-5. Perret threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Hermes Rivera earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record is now 4-3. Today's win puts Albuquerque at 52-52, while El Paso falls to 43-61.

Albuquerque used a timely hit from Dan Gamble to get the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Isotopes ahead, 7-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Gamble told the Albuquerque Daily. "It's as simple as that."
